My approach is non-judgmental, warm and empathic. It is informed by the specific needs of each client I see as well as Buddhist principles of ethics, self-awareness and compassion for self and others. I am dedicated to providing caring and professional therapy that assists my clients to cope better with the daily challenges they face.
I am experienced in working with people who present with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, trauma (particularly sexual trauma, violence and/or childhood trauma), grief and loss, self-harm and/or suicidal thoughts and difficulties regulating emotions.
I am trained and experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema therapy, mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), trauma-informed therapy, narrative therapy, Gestalt therapy and a number of psychodynamic approaches.
