My name is Vicki, I am a general psychologist who is passionate about creating a warm, collaborative and non-judgemental therapeutic environment. My focus is on providing an accessible and nurturing environment for people to explore their inner worlds. I work from a trauma-informed and strengths based approach with an emphasis on respect for peoples lived experiences and knowledge of their own lives.
I have experience working with wide range of concerns from community and forensic settings and have special interests in the areas of relationships, attachment and self-understanding with emphasis on improving an individual’s communication and sense of connection.
I integrate a range of client centred, trauma informed, evidence based psychological interventions tailored to the individual, drawing from: Cognitive-behavioural therapies (CBT), Mindfulness, Schema therapy, Emotion focused models, Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal family systems (IFS)
