You have probably been carrying this for a while. Work still gets done, the family still gets looked after, and from the outside nobody would guess how much effort that takes you to get through the day. Whether it's burnout, anxiety, the long shadow of trauma, or a relationship that has become unstuck, you don't have to keep managing it alone. I work with individuals and couples, many of them people who hold significant responsibility and are used to being "the strong one".

I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and culturally diverse communities navigating trauma, loss, anxiety, relationship growth, or a desire for deeper understanding and self-awareness.
My approach is grounded in neuroscience, compassion, and the belief that therapy is as much about rediscovering possibilities as it is about easing pain. Having personally navigated fertility and life challenges, I bring lived experience, gentleness, and depth to this work.

Being human can be complicated. We carry old stories, grief, family patterns, cultural expectations, relationship wounds, anxiety and the pressure to keep going, often without realising how deeply these experiences shape the way we think, feel and relate to ourselves and others. I work with individuals and couples who want to understand themselves beyond surface-level coping. Therapy with me is a space to make sense of what feels tangled, put language to experiences that have felt difficult to explain and create relationships and ways of living that feel more honest, connected and sustainable.

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who have spent a long time holding things together for others. They may be navigating trauma, burnout, parenting challenges, or the quiet exhaustion of trying to live in environments that don’t quite fit. Some are exploring their neurodivergence for the first time, while others are parents or practitioners seeking a deeper understanding. I offer a reflective, collaborative space to make sense of these experiences and find ways of living that feel more aligned and sustainable.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
