TaylorMade Counselling has been designed to work with people of all ages who are looking for a comfortable and safe environment to have life changing, meaningful and practical conversations. The TaylorMade journey began with a single goal; to be able to connect with people and to support them to reconnect with themselves. I wanted TaylorMade to be about empowering people who are experiencing challenges, to encourage them to look at their lives from different angles, to reframe their thinking, to recognise and acknowledge their strengths and triumphs, in order to facilitate them to make positive changes, so that they can lead happy and fulfilling lives.

Whether you're navigating burnout, the impact of physical health challenges, or just going through a difficult time, you don’t have to push through or struggle alone. I have experienced burnout first hand, and I understand how overwhelming it can be when it starts affecting your health and your ability to do daily tasks. This has made me passionate about sharing with people how psychology can help us to recover and heal on a mind and body level. You're not weak, crazy, or not trying hard enough... you've just not been shown any other way to do things.

New Clients Welcome! I believe passionately in being flexible, tailoring sessions, supporting personal development, growth, and insight with evidence based practices. My work is informed by mindfulness, attachment theory, schema therapy, family systems theory, and science. High achievers can appear to be fine on the outside but harbour problems on the inside that they know are impacting their personal lives. Therapy is a safe space to address subtle, chronic, and even complex mental health concerns. Many clients can recognise patterns in their mental health.

I am a Clinical Psychologist and Board-Approved Supervisor working with adults experiencing anxiety, stress, trauma, burnout and workplace challenges. I often work with thoughtful, capable individuals who are used to coping well but find themselves feeling overwhelmed, stuck or burnt out. This may relate to demanding roles, relationship difficulties or significant life transitions. Many are used to being the one others rely on and are now looking for space to step back, make sense of what is happening, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence and practical strategies.

It's my job to make myself redundant with clients, to help them end their work with me equipped with insights & skills to better manage emotional challenges. I use EMDR to treat trauma, mostly seeing survivors of childhood, military, family and sexual trauma. EMDR can also be helpful with workplace & social anxiety. In addition, I counsel adults with symptoms of autism such as rigid thinking, communication challenges and excess emotional distress. I offer a space where challenging thoughts can be explored safely - with courage, imagination & some humour, but no nonsense. If the client agrees with my assessment, we go from there.

My ideal clients are the "supporters"— parents, carers, and individuals who hold everything together for others.
My practice is built on a decade of lived experience as a late-diagnosed neurodivergent adult. Parenting both a neurodivergent and a neurotypical daughter for the past 10 years has given me a firsthand understanding of advocacy fatigue and sensory overwhelm. I don’t just know the theory; I live the reality.

I have a particular interest in reproductive and maternal mental health, grief and loss, parenting stress, and relationship challenges, as well as broader emotional and relational concerns.
What matters most to me is creating a space where people feel truly seen, heard, and supported. I’m deeply interested in how our experiences and relationships shape the way we move through the world. With warmth, curiosity, and clinical insight, I support clients to make sense of emotional patterns, reconnect with their strengths, and move toward a more connected and meaningful life. My professional background is in community and family services, including mental health and alcohol and drug support.

Parenting Therapists
What does therapy for parenting look like?
Therapists may work with parents individually, together, or include the whole family to find solutions for the problems a parent faces. Many parent-based therapies work on a parent’s relationship with their children, problem-solving within the family, and analysis of family dynamics. Therapy conducted remotely by video may be helpful in allowing a therapist to observe how families interact in their own homes.

When should a parent seek therapy?
When behavioral problems begin to disrupt the healthy functioning of a family, it may be a good time to look into therapy. If parents find that children are acting out in school, have started using drugs or alcohol, have developed eating disorders, or other similar red flags, a therapist may be able to help.

How long does therapy take for parenting problems?
Depending on the severity of a family’s challenges and the type of treatment utilized, therapy for parenting can last from weeks to months. Cognitive behavioral therapy is a pragmatic therapy type that can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. Structural family therapy, which inspects family dynamics, often takes several months. Parent-child interaction therapy is typically shorter-term, lasting between 10 and 20 sessions. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realized.

Can therapy help parents dealing with burnout or stress?
Parenting is difficult. Parents may dismiss or conceal feelings of exhaustion, overwhelm, or escape ideation—imagining withdrawing from their parental obligations altogether. but left unattended, these feelings can have negative effects on the whole family. A therapist can help parents work on the skills they might need to better cope with the burdens of parenting and help them be the best parents they can be.
