It's the start of the year but you're probably exhausted. You've been everyone's rock - the reliable friend, the family peace-keeper & the one who puts others first. But beneath that strength lies overwhelm, feeling invisible and exhaustion. You feel drained from carrying everyone's emotional burdens and find yourself saying "yes" when you desperately want to say "no." You experience anxiety, insomnia or physical symptoms from constantly prioritising others. Whether you're burnt out, questioning your relationship, navigating life transitions, struggling with ADHD overwhelm or just tired, it's time to put you first

I'm a clinical psychologist working with anxiety, depression, stress, emotional / behavioural dysregulation, shame and trauma. As a queer man, I have a passion for working with the LGBTIQA+ community. I work to create a shared understanding of their current patterns of behaviour and experiences from an attachment, trauma-informed, and developmental lens to heal the parts of themselves that get in the way of them living a meaningful life. I work with people to build up the healthy parts of themselves, learn to ask for their needs to be met and to cope with the difficulties that inevitably arise as part of life and relationships.

Hello, I’m Anthony, and I’m passionate about supporting people who are ready to make positive changes in their lives. Life can be overwhelming at times, and many individuals face challenges such as anxiety, depression, and relying on old coping mechanisms that no longer serve them. My approach is to walk alongside you as we explore what aligns with your values and goals, helping you move towards growth, developing new stories or beliefs, while letting go of patterns that may no longer be helpful. I bring a compassionate, empathetic, trauma informed approach, along with lived experience, to our work together.

If you’ve found yourself here, chances are something important isn’t feeling right—maybe in your relationship, your sense of self, or both. Whether you’re in a new relationship or have been together for decades, it’s common to feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. And it’s not always easy to open up to friends, family, or even your partner. I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported as we work together to create meaningful, lasting change—emotionally, mentally, and in the way you connect with others. Therapy isn’t about fixing you—it’s about supporting you.

Something's not right- you're drowning, lost, afraid, carrying something too heavy to hold alone. Or maybe it's a quieter disconnection - numbness, feeling like you're just going through the motions. You might not even have words for it, you just know that things can't keep going this way. Or maybe you're reaching out for someone you love — a partner, son, daughter, friend — and you see them struggling but don't know how to help. Whether you're trying to make sense of what's happened/happening, stuck in patterns that aren't working, searching for meaning and purpose, or simply need a space to release what's being carried, I'm here.

Many of the people I work with appear capable and functional to others, yet may privately feel stuck, lost, or unsure of who they are becoming. You may find yourself repeating the same patterns in relationships, being the rescuer, carrying the responsibility for everyone else, or feeling frustrated that your own needs remain unclear and unmet. You may struggle with ADHD symptoms, confusing feelings, self-doubt, or a quiet sense that life is not unfolding in the way you hoped. I work primarily with people feeling strain in relationships, identity conflict, cultural or faith expectations, and questions about meaning and direction.

Men's Issues Therapists
Is therapy for men different than it is for women?
Therapeutic treatments and types are the same for men as they are for women, with the same protocols followed and the same strategies employed. Discussing one’s feelings and emotions is an integral part of most therapies, and some men find doing so more challenging. Therapists can help clients through the process; some specialize in treating men for this reason.

How do you encourage a man to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either himself or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can men prepare for therapy?
Men can prepare for therapy by approaching the process with an open mind, being willing to talk about their challenges, and giving treatment the time to work. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. It can be useful for men who struggle to recall their emotional states to write down notes between sessions about their response to a given event or how they were feeling at a particular time.

What should men know about the process of therapy?
One of the most common reasons men don’t seek therapy is the notion that there’s something wrong with them if they do. Men should know that just because they’re seeking therapy doesn’t mean they’re mentally ill or damaged in some way. In the same way people work on their bodies through exercise or a craft through practice, therapy can be a way to improve the mental and emotional skills needed to be productive and effective partners, employees, and people in all realms of life.
