My ideal client isn't perfect-they've been through things, lost confidence, or carry pain they rarely speak aloud. They're often high-functioning but exhausted, craving a circuit-breaker. They want more than just symptom relief-they want clarity, connection, and a life that actually feels like theirs. They come with questions like "Is this all there is?" or "Why can't I just move on?" —and they're ready, even if nervously, to do the real work of healing with someone who gets it.

If you're looking for a therapist that values honesty, humour, and actually getting to the point to support you with burnout, grief, anxiety, depression, trauma or any kind of life transition, we might be a great fit!
I believe in offering a therapy experience that doesn't feel overly stuffy or clinical. Many people love a clinical approach, but for those who don't, it can feel really daunting. I aim to provide support that feels authentic, where clients can come exactly as they are.

My lived experiences with grief and loss generated interest in pursuing a career in clinical psychology and grief, loss, and trauma.
My counselling style is gentle and collaborative with the ability to create rapport quickly – I intend to create a safe, supportive and affirming place where the counselling work is empowering and enriching. I use a person-centred and trauma-informed cognitive behavioural approach in my work, which also includes EMDR and elements of ACT, DBT, Schema and psychodynamic therapies. I see my work as a real honour to work with people, quite often at their most vulnerable, and I really value the time I spend with my clients as we explore and collaborate on our therapy experience together.

I have 20 years of professional experience working with life's grief, bereavement and existential concerns, such as finding meaning after loss, being with and growing through traumatic events, and facing our own mortality.
Using a combination of Western and Eastern psychology, I help my clients feel their way through their challenges, attain emotional clarity and experience more of their human potential. We work at depth, gently unveiling the unconscious forces that shape our lives. This is powerful work, emotionally intimate, and recommended to those who are ready for change.

I am a registered clinical counsellor. I use Emotion-Focused Therapy as my main mode of practice. EFT is Person Centred/Humanistic. It is based on the Attachment and Identity theory. It also means that in therapy, I prioritise working on emotions. You may have learned to avoid and suppress your feelings, or they may have overwhelmed you. In therapy, I aim to support you in befriending and welcoming your feelings so they become a resource as they are meant to be and not a hindrance.

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
