You may look like you’re coping on the outside, while internally feeling stuck in patterns like overthinking, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or self-doubt. Or maybe you've spent years looking after everyone else, but struggle to extend the same compassion to yourself. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-aware and high-functioning, but still find themselves caught in patterns they can’t seem to shift. Therapy can help you understand where these patterns come from—and begin creating meaningful, lasting change.

Do you feel stuck in the same relationship patterns - whether you’re in a relationship or single? You might feel drawn to unavailable partners, stuck in the same arguments, or choosing people who can’t meet you emotionally. These patterns are changeable, and therapy is where that shift begins.

If you are already checking this, it means that a part of you is ready to be transformed, I´m here to assist you in that process. My most important objective is to provide you with a safe and professional space to go to the roots of your symptoms, not only the surface. In that way, changes being made are most likely to remain.

Whether you're navigating burnout, the impact of physical health challenges, or just going through a difficult time, you don’t have to push through or struggle alone. I have experienced burnout first hand, and I understand how overwhelming it can be when it starts affecting your health and your ability to do daily tasks. This has made me passionate about sharing with people how psychology can help us to recover and heal on a mind and body level. You're not weak, crazy, or not trying hard enough... you've just not been shown any other way to do things.

Overwhelmed? I have lived experience & extensive knowledge of the complexities of ADHD, Sensory Issues, Autism, disordered eating & chronic pain. My unique life with exposure to diversity and unexpected curveballs has shaped me into an insightful, reflective & understanding counsellor. My thirst for knowledge, hyper-focus skills and resolve to fight led to me seeking out my own answers surrounding my health. It paid off, & I hope it can now help you. I'm now mentored/supervised & trained by the MVPs in Neurodivergence & its heath complexities. I do not refuse vulnerable & complex clients; I used to be one.

Hello, my name is Kendall. I am a queer sex and relationship therapist working exclusively online with the queer community. The majority of patients that I work with are AFAB, and of the sapphic persuasion, identities vary however I do work a lot with trans and NB folk. Individuals come to me for a variety of reasons from navigating their first queer relationship, sexual anxiety, coming to terms with their gender, realising they are some form of queer and unsure as to what to do about it. Couples are often seeking a queer therapist that simply 'gets it' to help navigate their queer relationship.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.

How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.

How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realised.

How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
