I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, EMDR & ACT to help you manage stress, improve mental health & strengthen connections with those you care about.
Are you feeling worried, overwhelmed, or struggling in your relationship or daily life? Maybe you and your partner are finding it hard to connect, or perhaps you’re facing challenges on your own—feeling stressed, anxious, or like your usual energy has disappeared. When even small tasks or conversations feel like too much, it can be exhausting, and it’s easy to retreat from the world. I understand how difficult this can be, and I’m here to help. Whether you’re facing relationship issues, personal struggles, or family dynamics, I provide a non-judgmental space for individuals, couples, and families to work through their challenges.

Life can be challenging, and sometimes our thoughts become the hardest part to manage. I help people untangle these patterns, strengthen emotional resilience, and find long-term calm. With master’s degrees in Communications and Media and in Professional Psychology, I bring a balanced mix of human insight and clinical skill. My approach is grounded, collaborative, and inclusive of all identities and backgrounds, drawing from Schema Therapy, CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Psychodynamic frameworks. I recently explored this in my blog When I Asked ChatGPT to Be My Therapist on The Three Seas website.

I work with children and adults of all ages, to develop self-regulation techniques, process trauma, connect with the deeper, hidden parts of self, explore lifes challenges from different perspectives, and to create gentle shifts in ways of thinking, feeling and being. We start individual or group arts therapy sessions, with a short guided meditation or self-regulation practices to settle into the space and bring your self into that present moment, as a way of creating space for our somatic, arts therapy session.

If you think things could be better, you're probably right. It's hard to ignore that voice inside us that's looking for the right person to help us take the first steps. For those working through challenges, including but not limited to: depression, anxiety, stress and anger management, relationship difficulties/divorce, major life transitions, trauma, abuse, grief and loss, illness and major injury, it helps to have someone who not only understands your situation, but has both the personal experience with what it takes to get to a place where 'better' is an option, combined with the professional expertise to get you there.

Through different stages of life women have expectations placed on them, often intensified by our life experiences & the narratives we learn about ourselves & others. Resulting in stress, anxiety, depression, a sense of not belonging, or not being good enough. In our relationships with family, children, friends, at workplaces & in community we can be challenged, stretched & deeply depended on. I want to support women to feel connected to themselves, each other & have the tools to find joy, kindness & balance in life. Since becoming a mother, I have a passion for supporting women during postpartum to prioritize their own wellbeing.

I’m a registered psychologist based in Mornington. I work with teens and adults — particularly men — who are dealing with stress, anxiety, anger, emotional shutdown, low mood, or significant life pressure. Many of the people I see have spent years pushing through, supporting others, and holding things together — until that approach stops working. My style is calm, direct, and grounded. I don’t believe people are broken. I believe most people are responding as best they can to pressure, expectations, and experiences they were never taught how to process.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
