I offer a supportive and non-judgemental space, with respect for your experiences, culture, and pace. My practice is person-centred and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based approaches to explore what matters most to you. People may seek psychological support for reasons including anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief, or significant life changes. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in familiar patterns, or unsure where to start, you’re not alone. Sometimes it can be hard to put what you’re experiencing into words — and that’s okay. Through therapy, there is space to explore this together, at a pace that feels right for you.

For over a decade, I've helped people recover from the impacts of trauma, and these experiences have helped me develop a broad set of skills to help people through a range of psychological problems, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger, OCD, adjustment to major life transitions, grief and loss, and relationship difficulties.
People come to therapy for lots of different reasons - whether it's worrying about different things, having trouble sleeping, or just feeling unhappy, stressed, or stuck. I believe all of these problems can be invitations to look deeper within ourselves, to uncover what really matters to us, the values and meanings that guide our choices, and the parts of ourselves that need our care and attention. Therapy can be a space to explore these questions, to sit with uncertainty, and to begin finding ways to live more fully, even when life feels messy or overwhelming.

You might seem like you’re doing well from the outside — but inside, you’re stretched thin. You're constantly juggling demands, pushing yourself to meet high expectations, and rarely giving yourself a break. You feel worn out, stuck in your head, or disconnected from the people and things that used to bring joy. You want to feel more present, at ease, and in control — but don’t know how to get there.

I’m a German-Australian Psychologist, and many of the people who come see me face relationship or attachment issues, anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, autism, or unresolved trauma.
Do you feel overwhelmed with emotions and don't know where to start? Maybe you feel anxious, or are overthinking all the time? Whatever it is, you don’t have to go through it alone. Together, we’ll make sense of what’s happening, and work through the issues to make you feel calmer, stronger, and more in control. My approach is warm, genuine, and down-to-earth. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, and know that therapy is a space where you’ll be met with understanding and support.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.

What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.

Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine, fluoxetine, and sertraline, among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.

Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
