You want to raise a child who feels seen, heard, and understood, so you've tried to become more mindful with your parenting. But something isn’t clicking. You feel stressed and overwhelmed, unsure how to handle big feelings and behaviours. You don’t react how you’d like, and self-doubt creeps in. You’ve tried different strategies, but they don’t seem to stick or work the way you hope. Still, you’re sure of one thing: you want a strong, secure bond where your child feels unconditionally loved. You want to understand and meet their needs with confidence. And you're ready to bring more calm, connection, and joy into your family life.

Using evidence-based techniques like ACT, DBT and mindfulness, with tools to break unhelpful patterns, build resilience, and foster self-awareness.
Starting therapy takes courage, and I strive to create a safe, compassionate space for growth. My ideal client feels stuck—struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions—seeking clarity, relief, and self-understanding. They long to break unhelpful patterns, build confidence, and cultivate healthier relationships. Using an integrative, client-centered approach, I help them navigate challenges, develop coping tools, and foster self-compassion. My goal is to empower clients to move from struggle to fulfillment, embracing a more authentic and balanced life.

If you’re a professional struggling with anxiety, perfectionism, relationship difficulties, or self-doubt, you may feel like you should have it all together. Outwardly, you appear capable and successful, but internally, stress and overthinking make it difficult to enjoy your work, relationships, or even your downtime. You might find yourself avoiding difficult conversations, procrastinating on important tasks, or overworking to keep anxiety at bay. Despite your efforts, you may feel stuck, wondering why stress and self-doubt persist.

I have lived experience with ADHD and Chronic Pain and I can appreciate the struggle of feeling 'different' but told to act 'normal'.
Hi, I’m Austin, I have a special interest in ADHD, anxiety, depression, and burnout. I recognise that it takes real strength to seek support and I will always aim to create a safe, supportive, and empowering space as we work together towards your goals. Through my lived experiences, I've learnt to really appreciate that we're all human at the end of the day and I strongly believe that everybody deserves to be heard, feel safe to pursue what is right for them, and to know that they are not alone. I'll always work with you and be in your corner with empathy, respect, and understanding.

Not Accepting New Clients at the time. I believe passionately in being flexible, tailoring sessions, supporting personal development, growth, and insight with evidence based practices. My work is informed by mindfulness, attachment theory, schema therapy, family systems theory, and science. High achievers can appear to be fine on the outside but harbour problems on the inside that they know are impacting their personal lives. Therapy is a safe space to address subtle, chronic, and even complex mental health concerns. Many clients can recognise patterns in their mental health.

Whether you're navigating burnout, the impact of physical health challenges, or just going through a difficult time, you don’t have to push through or struggle alone. I have experienced burnout first hand, and I understand how overwhelming it can be when it starts affecting your health and your ability to do daily tasks. This has made me passionate about sharing with people how psychology can help us to recover and heal on a mind and body level. You're not weak, crazy, or not trying hard enough... you've just not been shown any other way to do things.

Hello, I am a clinical psychologist who places great value in understanding clients' difficulties deeply and wholistically. As a migrant from Asia, I am fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, I have firsthand experience of uprooting from what is familiar and reestablishing in a new environment. I also bring into the therapy room an experience of major career change. I feel privileged to be able to help people make personal recovery from life-changing circumstances, in rebuilding hope, redefining self-identity, assuming / re-assuming responsibilities, and leading a meaningful life.

Every person is unique, and we each experience life’s challenges in our own way. While similar situations may touch our lives, our responses to them are deeply personal and complex. I believe that therapy should reflect this individuality—there is no one-size-fits-all solution. My approach is tailored to meet you where you are, recognizing that what works for one person may not work for another, even if they’ve faced the same circumstances. Together, we’ll explore your needs, strengths, and goals to find the path that feels right for you.

I am a registered psychologist with experience in both therapeutic and corporate psychology. I provide empathetic, warm and holistic support to clients who are navigating life challenges, such as anxiety, low mood, managing chronic health conditions or pain, relationship problems, low self-esteem or self-worth, or managing transitions. Clients I work with often find themselves overwhelmed and uncertain about the next steps. I collaborate with them to re-establish a connection with themselves, identify their desires and needs, and together, we chart a course towards achieving those goals, and take it step by step.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Counsellors

How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.

What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?

The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.

Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?

Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.

How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?

A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
