I am a registered clinical counsellor. I use Emotion-Focused Therapy as my main mode of practice. EFT is Person Centred/Humanistic. It is based on the Attachment and Identity theory. It also means that in therapy, I prioritise working on emotions. You may have learned to avoid and suppress your feelings, or they may have overwhelmed you. In therapy, I aim to support you in befriending and welcoming your feelings so they become a resource as they are meant to be and not a hindrance.

I offer tailored, neuro-affirming therapy to build resilience, capacity, communication, and self-acceptance, helping clients and families thrive.
My clinical focus, passion and expertise is with neurodivergent youth facing anxiety, social struggles, or identity challenges, often with autism, ADHD, or sensory differences. They feel misunderstood and seek a safe, non-judgmental space to build confidence and resilience. They want practical strategies to manage stress, improve communication and relationships, and achieve goals like school success, self-acceptance, employment and being better understood by those around them. Parents may seek guidance to support them. Their aim is to thrive authentically, feeling empowered in a world that doesn’t always align with their needs.

I work with clients who are themselves, or have family members who are neurodivergent.
For reasons that I cannot explain, the more complex the clients needs, the more likely they are to find themselves on my doorstep. Commonly, I have clients tell me in their first session that 'they have many issues and no one else has ever been able to help them before' - this is generally an indication that we will build a lasting relationship. I am patient, very open-minded and laid back in my approach whilst still maintaining professionalism. If you fear therapy because of the overly clinical approach then you will find my way of forming a therapeutic alliance refreshing and endearing.

These symptoms are usually a manifestations of underlying issues and unhappiness they may have been experiencing. They often sought help to get relief from such symptoms. I have trained in relationship therapy, family therapy, attachment-based therapy, sex therapy and applied neuroscience.
You’re longing for a relationship that feels safe, connected, and honest, whether you’re navigating conflict, repair after infidelity, communication breakdowns, mismatched needs, or the complexity of being in a neurodiverse partnership. You want clarity, trust, and emotional grounding, but feel stuck in patterns you can’t shift alone. Attachment wounds, unresolved conflicts and unexpected triggers keep getting in the way. You're stuck in a vicious relationship spiral. You value depth, growth, and authentic connection, and you’re ready for support that honours your identities, your values, and the way you love.

FAQ - About Family Therapy
What do family therapists do?
A family therapist facilitates the process of understanding and improving how a family functions. The therapist will help family members develop empathy for one another. They’ll seek to understand existing patterns, misunderstandings, and conflicts that arise, in order to help the family arrive at a realistic, unified understanding and develop the coping skills they need to build stronger relationships.

How long does therapy for families take to work?
Therapy manifests differently in every family; a common time frame is 12 weekly sessions, but some families may see improvement after just a few weeks. Families should discuss their goals with the therapist at the beginning of the process and periodically revisit those goals to assess their progress together.

How can you encourage a family member to attend family therapy?
You can encourage family members to attend therapy by expressing with both love and concern the challenges you see and explaining how a therapist could help the family navigate those challenges together. An outside perspective can help everyone feel heard, get on the same page, and develop new skills. If family members are still hesitant, it may be helpful to emphasize that family therapy is short-term—it won’t last forever.

Is therapy for families effective?
Family therapy can significantly improve family dynamics and relationships. Research suggests that family therapy can help individuals understand their role in the family, communicate and solve problems together, reduce conflict and draw boundaries when necessary, and develop coping skills for stressors, major life changes, and mental or physical illnesses within the family.
