Hello! I’m Chaille (Shay). As a counsellor, my focus is on increasing quality of life. I help clients process their experiences in an environment of respect, help them feel heard, safe and validated. Many of the people who come to me have reached a point where they’re ready for something to shift. They’re tired of repeating the same patterns, feeling disconnected, or sensing that life could be different but not knowing where to begin. Some are navigating depression, anxiety, or grief; others are carrying the impact of trauma, family violence, or crime. Many are simply starting their personal development journey and feel unsure where or how to start. What they all share is a readiness to understand themselves more deeply and take steps toward meaningful change.

I am a qualified IAT (Integrative Attachment Therapy) therapist which specialises in adult attachment repair. Attachment repair effectively treats anxious, avoidant and disorganised attachment in adults, helping clients to achieve inner security, relationship satisfaction, and emotional well-being.
I use a combination of emotional, cognitive and somatic therapeutic approaches in my work, because not everyone is the same, and I find as a therapist I need a variety of tools in my kit to meet the unique needs of each client.

I work with individuals who feel something within them is asking to be heard—often showing up as anxiety, overwhelm, identity shifts, or disconnection. I support ADHD, autism, motherhood, trauma, and work with children (5+) and NDIS participants, including school-based sessions in primary and high school settings.
My person-centred, evidence-informed approach creates space to explore what’s beneath the surface, build emotional capacity, and move toward clarity, regulation, and self-trust.
If you’re feeling the weight of carrying it all alone, this is a space to slow down, be met fully, and begin finding your way forward.

Many people come to counselling with a sense that something doesn’t feel quite right - even if they can’t clearly name what the problem is. You might feel overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in familiar relationship patterns, or unsure of who you are. If that resonates, you’re not alone.
I offer a warm, emotionally safe space where we can gently explore what you’re experiencing. My approach is person-centred, emotion-focused, and attachment-informed. I’m interested in understanding how your emotional world has been shaped by your relationships and life experiences, and how those patterns may be showing up for you in the present.

Women's Issues Therapists
How do you encourage a woman to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual may be suffering, and what effects it has on them, should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
How can women prepare for therapy?
Women can prepare for therapy by being willing to talk about their past experiences and their private thoughts. Before a session, an individual may want to reflect on how they’ve felt since the last session and what’s happened in their lives. Between sessions, it can be useful to write down notes about their reaction to a given event or how they felt at a particular time.
How long does therapy for women’s issues often last?
As with any type of therapy, sessions depend on the individual and the challenges they face. Therapy types like Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Prolonged exposure therapy (PET), and Eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR) can be brief, most often ranging from between 5 and 20 sessions. In some cases, such as for women with eating disorders, residential treatment may be recommended for an individual who is judged to be at high risk of self-harm. For any therapy, the duration will depend on the progress made and results realised.
How can women overcome stigma around specific challenges in order to seek therapy?
Women dealing with domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, and any other number of troubles may feel a stigma around seeking help. It’s important to remember that these issues are not uncommon and there is no shame in getting help for them. Therapy is confidential, and women can talk about their experiences without fear of judgment. Seeking therapy can be a courageous and liberating act, and an important step toward healing and recovery.
