Have you tried talk therapy and not found any lasting relief from your distress? We are so much more than our mind and thoughts. Most conventional mental health services can only take us so far on our healing journey. Our suffering is the product of what happened to us in our life and labels or a diagnosis is only part of our story. Your distress, whether it is overwhelming emotions, anxiety, sadness or relationship issues need your attention and working deeper with your self and your body can have a longer lasting effect.

You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, emotional intensity, or difficult life experiences. Perhaps you are navigating trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, or patterns that are affecting your wellbeing and daily life. Many people seek therapy when they want greater clarity, emotional balance, and healthier ways of responding to stress and relationships. Some feel stuck repeating patterns that no longer serve them, while others are facing significant life changes. My aim is to provide a calm, respectful space where we can explore what is happening in your life and develop practical strategies to support your wellbeing.

Whilst my approach is largely informed by psychodynamic and attachment theories, I integrate multiple therapy types, and understand that during certain life stages (such as during the perinatal period) a more direct approach may be beneficial.
Is the endless Googling, unsolicited advice, and heavy mental load leaving you wondering where you are in all of this? Pregnancy and new motherhood are wild rides, full of unknowns and uncontrollables – as a clinical psychologist who is also an imperfect mum, I know this first-hand. Sometimes, a woman can really benefit from a safe space to share the messier parts of themselves and figure out what part of the journey is within their control. This is where I can help. Let’s work on softening that inner-critic and building your resources, so you can actually breathe and connect with your loved ones. You can’t give from an empty cup!

I work with adults navigating pregnancy and postpartum, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, eating disorders, grief, and the impacts of psychosis.
Every relationship leaves something behind: a way of protecting yourself, a pattern you didn't choose, a version of yourself you learned to lead with because it felt safer than the authentic one. You may know what you "should" do, but something stops you from saying the thing out loud. Maybe in this relationship, maybe in all of them.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioural therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviours. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
