Pregnancy and new motherhood are wild rides, full of unknowns and uncontrollable experiences – as a clinical psychologist who is also an imperfect mum, I know this first-hand.
Sometimes, a woman can really benefit from a safe space to share the messier parts of themselves and figure out what parts of their journey are actually within their control, and what parts are best let go of.

If you’re reading this, you might be called to navigate your journey, deeper connection with yourself or sensing something in you is ready to shift. Maybe parts of you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unheard. At TreeEye Therapy, I honour every layer of your experience, the seen, the unseen, the shadow parts, and the parts that are still finding their voice. You don’t have to navigate this alone. My approach is non-judgmental, and collaborative. I draw from evidence-based modalities, somatic and trauma-informed practices, and holistic integrative approaches to support trauma integration, emotional regulation, and self-empowerment.

Many people come to therapy after reaching a point where the ways they’ve been coping no longer feel sustainable. You might find yourself feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in the same relationship patterns, or struggling to understand why certain experiences continue to affect you so deeply - even when part of you feels like you “should” have moved on by now. For some, therapy becomes a space to finally slow down and pay attention to things they’ve spent years pushing aside, minimising, or trying to manage on their own.

Not currently accepting new clients. My approach can be summarised as warm yet direct. I do not focus on analysing problems or managing symptoms, rather I work hard to uncover and address the deeper issues that are at the core of your difficulties. This includes uncovering those patterns that operate largely outside of conscious awareness. I work this way because I believe that lasting change is difficult without first understanding the patterns that are shaping our experience.

Let’s be honest. Walking into therapy can feel intimidating. The old-school image of psychology is still very “serious face, intimidating suit, big words you didn’t ask for.” That’s not what happens here. I’m a psychologist who genuinely believes therapy shouldn’t feel like you’re being analysed under fluorescent lighting. It should feel collaborative, clear & human. You deserve support that makes sense in real life. No "hacks". My approach is simple. I get to know you properly. We figure out what’s getting in your way. And we build tools that actually work in your day-to-day life. No unnecessary jargon.

Pregnancy, Prenatal, Postpartum Therapists
What are the most effective ways to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns?
The most effective way to address pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum concerns is by finding a therapist who has prior experience helping other patients overcome the challenge being faced. For example, a marriage and family therapist may have experience helping couples adjust to their new relationship dynamic. An anxiety specialist may have experience helping with phobias or illness anxiety related to the child’s health. A depression specialist may have experience treating postpartum depression.

When should I seek treatment for prenatal or postpartum concerns?
Pregnancy and the postpartum period involve intense physical and mental changes; a degree of upset and instability is normal. However, if these changes impair daily functioning, it may be time to seek help. This distinction is pertinent for postpartum depression: A period of teariness, irritability, and distress is difficult but normal in the one to two weeks after childbirth (sometimes called the “baby blues.”) But if feelings of sadness and hopelessness persist beyond that period, the person should seek treatment.

How do I manage worries during pregnancy or the postnatal period?
A therapist can help patients develop the tools they need to manage anxieties during or after pregnancy. Cognitive behavioural therapy can help people identify and reframe harmful patterns of thought, and change their behaviours. Other techniques and skills can allow people to develop acceptance, psychological flexibility, self-compassion, communication skills, and more.
