I focus on areas such as chronic stress, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, relationships, and personal and spiritual growth.
My philosophy as a therapist is centred on deeply honouring the unique human in front of me. Rather than focusing on labels or diagnoses —I like to meet people where they are, with curiosity, compassion, and the belief that what they’re going through does not define who they are. I practice psychotherapy, helping clients achieve long lasting change.

I support people with a wide range of issues including grief and loss, relationship concerns, anxiety, stress, trauma and life transitions (empty nesters, separation, retirement issues, ageing, life-threatening diagnosis).
I work on the basis that each one of us is unique so therapy must be uniquely tailored to the individual. I employ a range of approaches which can include talking therapy (psychodynamic psychotherapy, existential psychotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy), somatic psychotherapy (listening to and working with your body), hypnotherapy and mindfulness.

Choosing the right psychologist can be daunting, especially when you're feeling vulnerable and unsure how a stranger could help. Creating a good connection and understanding is always my first aim to establish trust and start an open and honest dialogue. I have a warm, down-to-earth, approachable, and compassionate demeanor fostering a non-judgmental environment that encourages you to speak freely and openly. Being an immigrant in this country and at times having “walked a road less traveled”, in my own life, has enriched me with a deep understanding of people and this has allowed me to connect empathetically and naturally.

I believe that no issue is minor. Whatever someone is going through, it’s valid and deserves support. My ideal client is anyone who needs that space to heal or grow through therapy. Whether they’re facing trauma, family conflict, identity struggles, or simply feeling lost or overwhelmed, I’m here to walk alongside them. They might not always know exactly what they need, but they’re open to exploring, feeling, and slowly rebuilding. What they want is to feel understood, to make sense of their experiences, and to move forward with more clarity and self-compassion.

FAQ - About Couples Therapy
Does couples counseling work?
Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?
Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?
The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?
The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
