Do you frequently worry that your romantic partner won’t care about you as much as you care about them? Or that they won't love you for who you are or be there for you if you open up to them? If you're hoping to feel safe, loved, and accepted in your relationship or friendships, but you can never find people who make you feel this or you never give them the chance to do so, you likely have an attachment issue. I specialise in working with insecure attachment styles, working to help clients find security in a relationship for the first time and to develop a healthier, kinder view of themselves.

My approach is collaborative, practical and grounded in evidence-based therapies, including CBT, ACT and mindfulness.
If you've found yourself here, life has probably become harder than you expected. Perhaps anxiety has become exhausting, panic attacks seem to come out of nowhere, work feels overwhelming, or experiences from the past continue to affect your life. Whatever has brought you here, I'd like you to know one thing from the beginning: you are not crazy. Many people come to counselling believing they're somehow broken because they can't simply "get over it." More often, their thoughts, emotions and reactions make sense when viewed in the context of what they've experienced.

I support children, adolescents, and adults using evidence-based therapies including CBT, ACT, trauma-informed, and emotion-focused approaches, always tailored to your individual needs.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, you’re not alone. You may be struggling with anxiety, low mood, the impact of past or recent trauma, relationship difficulties, or a growing sense that life feels harder than it should. You might be seeking clarity about yourself, your child, or your situation and wanting practical support that actually makes a difference. Many of the people I work with are looking for understanding as much as solutions. They want a safe, calm space where they can make sense of their experiences, feel genuinely heard, and develop skills to cope more effectively.

For reasons that I cannot explain, the more complex the clients needs, the more likely they are to find themselves on my doorstep. Commonly, I have clients tell me in their first session that 'they have many issues and no one else has ever been able to help them before' - this is generally an indication that we will build a lasting relationship. I am patient, very open-minded and laid back in my approach whilst still maintaining professionalism. If you fear therapy because of the overly clinical approach then you will find my way of forming a therapeutic alliance refreshing and endearing.

Hi - I'm Sandra :) I'm a warm, open, compassionate and caring woman who in the role of counsellor, is here to support clients with their goals for therapy, and in their lives. It may be dealing with a relationship issue or breakup, or dealing with grief at the loss of someone or something, or experiencing anxiety, depression, stress or being diagnosed with a chronic illness or condition. These are just some of the things I work with clients on. I also work with children, to build them up from the inside so they feel confident dealing with life challenges, and with teenagers.

I strongly believe that every person has a purpose and set of skills/strengths they bring into this world; however, that sometimes inconvenient/negative circumstances or unhealthy relationships can derail this potential by planting a seed of self-doubt into our minds. Regardless of where it applies to an individual's life (e.g. marriage, career, etc.), it would be my privilege to help clients along the way to achieving their life goals/vision by helping them identify and deal with any stumbling blocks in their way. Life loves to throw curveballs (it wouldn't be interesting if it didn't), but I'd love to prepare my clients for them!

Every woman I work with is different, so I draw on a range of approaches, including ACT, CBT, mindfulness, narrative and person-centred therapy, to meet you where you are.
The women I work with are often carrying more than anyone around them realises: grief after pregnancy or baby loss, postnatal anxiety, birth trauma, burnout, or a sense of self that's quietly shifting. Most arrive when managing alone stops being enough. They need a space that's entirely theirs; somewhere they don't have to perform okay-ness. I work relationally and trauma-informed, at a pace that feels right for you. Progress looks different for every woman, but the space stays the same: warm, unhurried, and genuinely safe.
