The types of therapies I use are: Internal Family Systems, EMDR, CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, and Attachment Theory
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming, but at the heart of therapy is connection - and that’s what I try my best to prioritise in our sessions. I believe therapy shouldn’t feel clinical or detached; it should feel like a conversation with someone who truly sees you. I work specifically with young adults aged 18 - 35, and I have a special interest in working with trauma, attachment difficulties, anxiety disorders, young adults who are experiencing family and relationship difficulties, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people who are experiencing identity struggles or those just feeling "stuck".

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing ( EMDR) Therapy forms a large part of this, along with associated modalities that relate to the nervous system, getting to know all parts of yourself and the roles they play, and being able to tell your story to someone who will really listen.
I work with adults from all walks of life to assist with the various manifestations of trauma, depression and anxiety. Therapy with me looks like exploring together what has shaped who you have become so far and which bits we can work on to bring you closer to who you want to be.

We relish in what many therapists see as ‘too difficult’ - trauma, attachment wounds, adjustment issues and relationship challenges and have helped hundreds of clients work through their ‘stuff’ with empirically-based modalities such as EMDR.
I am a counsellor and body-based psychotherapist with special interests in all aspects women’s health, trauma and couples therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to find a place of healing and recovery and I'm not the kind of therapist that is ok with “feeling better” if better is still a long way off being truly well. That’s why I feel such an affinity with the word ‘wellbeing’. as it is much more than the absence of disease or illness. Wellbeing is a multidimensional mix of getting your physical, mental and social health in balance, and I have a team of Counsellors working at the practice to support you in your healing.

Talking Sleep Psychology
Psychologist, MPsych, MAPS

I specialise in insomnia and sleep disorders, drawing on CBT-I, Compassion Focused Therapy, ACT, and EMDR.
I work with adults and older adults struggling with insomnia, sleep anxiety, or poor sleep quality — often people who have tried other approaches without lasting results, or who sense something deeper is keeping their nervous system alert at night. Many of my clients are midlife women navigating sleep disruption alongside hormonal transition and the pressures of this life stage. The goal is always the same: to leave with a genuinely different relationship with sleep — not rules to follow, but a real understanding of what your nervous system needs, even on hard nights

EMDR Therapists
Who is EMDR for?
EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?
People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?
First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?
First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimising its ability to trigger anxiety.
