My counselling style is gentle and collaborative with the ability to create rapport quickly – I intend to create a safe, supportive and affirming place where the counselling work is empowering and enriching. I use a person-centred and trauma-informed cognitive behavioural approach in my work, which also includes EMDR and elements of ACT, DBT, Schema and psychodynamic therapies. I see my work as a real honour to work with people, quite often at their most vulnerable, and I really value the time I spend with my clients as we explore and collaborate on our therapy experience together.

I love supporting BIPOC, neurodivergent and LGBTIQA+ folks to navigate through a range of traumas and distress such as intergenerational, personal or community traumas. People are often curious about how their body might hold onto emotions, feelings, memories or experiences and how these manifest in everyday interactions both internally and externally which I support them to explore. Folks who are a great fit for me are attempting to bring healing and understanding to difficult moments in their life in a way that allows space for peace and calm in both the body and mind

Specialising in high risk adolescents and adults, I offer contemporary psychoanalysis and EMDR resulting in powerful therapeutic benefits. Integrating several types of therapy (CBT, solution focused, problem solving), psychoanalysis informs my work in terms of the way I conceptualise the client's current problems and EMDR (as needed) results in a faster way of processing trauma. Combining these two therapies provides effective in-depth therapy with relatively brief therapy. If you have been suffering with unresolved psychological trauma, I can help you to overcome the problems that are keeping you from maximising your potential.

Hi, I’m Caitlynn.
Many of the people I work with appear capable and put-together on the outside, yet internally feel overwhelmed, anxious, exhausted, or highly self-critical. They may find themselves overthinking, struggling to switch off, putting others' needs first, or repeating patterns in relationships that leave them feeling stuck.
Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and develop a different relationship with yourself. Together, we explore the underlying patterns contributing to your difficulties while also finding practical ways to navigate thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

Life is often unpredictable and challenging; and you shouldn’t be expected to hold it all on your own. My approach as an Integrative Psychotherapist is rooted in the belief that we are fundamentally relational beings, we need others to help us understand our own experience. I strive to create a safe and judgement free space for clients to be curious about their own minds and bodies in order to better understand their emotions, patterns and conflicts. Our work is not just focused on solving problems; it’s an invitation to a deeper relationship with yourself and the world around you.

Welcome.
I have worked as a social worker, psychologist and yoga and meditation teacher for over 35 years and now offer a holistic counselling approach which attends to the mind, emotions, body and spiritual aspects of the individual.
Most of us experience difficulties in life at some time and these times present opportunities for enquiry and greater self-awareness which can empower us to make conscious choices and take considered action. Ideally our experiences are to be learnt from so that we don’t repeat old patterns of thinking, behaving and reacting and that our new approach to life becomes more thoughtful.
