Feeling angry, depressed, workplace issues, relationship issues, just struggling day to day?
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly & respond to them in a more effective way. IPT is used as an effective mode of treatment for mental health issues. Therapy helps to relieve systems & underlying issues.

This is the foundation of a therapeutic relationship where people can show up with aspects of themselves that are problematic and unhelpful without judgement.
My training in Gestalt therapy, informed by trauma sensitivity and attachment theory guides me to prioritize safety and human experiences in relationship. With a strong practice underpinned by neuroscience and somatic trauma therapy approaches, I work towards creating greater tolerance toward uncomfortable sensations that arise out of difficult experiences.

There's no one-size-fits-all relationship, so finding out what works for you (and how to voice that to others) is key to having meaningful, authentic relationships.
As a high-masking AuDHD adult myself, I understand the unique challenges relationships can present. Navigating a world that normalises unspoken social rules, privileges certain relationship styles over others and expects us to act in "socially appropriate" ways (just a few examples) can lead us to be in relationships we don't feel fully "at home" in.

Relationship Issues Counsellors
While the need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
