I am a psychologist and supervisor with a warm, collaborative approach and 8 years of experience working with a range of concerns. I have special interests in working with anxiety & depression, eating & body-image, trauma and family issues, self-esteem, LGBTQIA+ clients, as well as working with women on alcohol use. I work with each person individually to identify meaningful and relevant goals and have a holistic and trauma-informed approach. With children & adolescents I work from a developmental framework incorporating play and collaboration with work with parents. I also provide supervision for other therapists.

As a psychotherapist I create a field, I prepare the ground and the conditions, I set processes in motion, I resonate and synchronise with the rhythm of the person. I help the person to centre inside, to anchor in the body, in the present and in reality. What I am most interested in is the relationship people have with themselves. Most problems that occur in interpersonal relationships have to do with conflict within us. My work is about lowering fears, taking small and big courageous steps, regaining the capacity to love, rebuilding trust in ourselves so that we can find and follow our path.

I can understand that for many taking those first steps to seek professional help it can be quite daunting. I am mindful of the need therefore to set people at ease from the outset. I accommodate what differing clients are looking for from a psychologist ranging from finding solutions and learning strategies to process-oriented approaches that provide the opportunity to safely explore, understand, and heal the emotional pain that often underlies psychological stress and problematic behaviour.

I'm a clinical psychologist working with anxiety, depression, stress, emotional / behavioural dysregulation, shame and trauma. As a queer man, I have a passion for working with the LGBTIQA+ community. I work to create a shared understanding of their current patterns of behaviour and experiences from an attachment, trauma-informed, and developmental lens to heal the parts of themselves that get in the way of them living a meaningful life. I work with people to build up the healthy parts of themselves, learn to ask for their needs to be met and to cope with the difficulties that inevitably arise as part of life and relationships.

My interest and passion for health care began in my early adolescence as a volunteer at a school for children with special needs. In the years that followed I worked with people on the spectrum with high behavioural needs and also in group homes for people with chronic and severe mental illness.
