We have all been in situations that we wish were different. We want someone who listens respectfully, to support and encourage us to get through this situation stronger and to be proud of who we are. It can be reassuring to work with a professional therapist to help clarify our thoughts, who will provide tools to manage concerns and assist in putting a life plan in to action.

Anxiety, depression, relationship issues. pain self esteem. Patients come to therapy because of either symptoms or interpersonal difficulties. Symptoms include traditional psychological problems like anxiety and depression, but they also include physical symptoms without medically identifiable cause, such as headache, shortness of breath, diarrhea, or sudden weakness. The ISTDP model attributes these to the occurrence of distressing situations where painful or forbidden emotions are triggered outside of awareness. See TMS RoundTable on YouTube: TMSRoundTable

I work with people whose concerns might be about anxiety, grief & loss, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, or complex post traumatic stress (CPTSD). It could be something less defined, vague yet familiar & unsettling. Perhaps you feel disconnected, isolated, or always pressured, rushed, never able to be yourself fully. Maybe something has happened at work, at school or college in your relationship/s, or with a parent or other close family members. Or you have experienced, or are experiencing, family and domestic violence.

Our approach to relationship counselling assumes that what occurs in your relationship is co-created. When we shift from “your story versus mine”, we move from a focus on the individual to “the between” of your relationship. As you may have experienced, relationship patterns repeat, the same ideas and themes keep knocking on the door. With the support of your therapist you are invited to explore “the between”, to engage in a process that helps you to understand how you got here and to begin to experience your relationship differently.

Workers | Autism | Older Adults Do you feel like you’re stuck but you don’t know where to start to move? You may know what to do but getting motivated or feeling hopeful is really hard. Feeling worried, depressed or stressed makes it so much harder to believe in, and work towards, a better future. And then the way you're feeling makes eating, sleeping and concentrating hard too. Issues: Developmental differences, big feelings and tricky behaviour. Having a hard time at work (or you'd like to up-skill your emotional confidence). Getting older and dealing with difficult life transitions and other emotional issues. 0456 033 200

Emotionally Focused Counsellors
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an approach to therapy that helps clients identify their emotions, learn to explore and experience them, to understand them and then to manage them. Doncaster Emotionally Focused Therapy embraces the idea that emotions can be changed, first by arriving at or 'living' the maladaptive emotion (e.g. loss, fear or shame) in session, and then learning to transform it. Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples seeks to break the negative emotion cycles within relationships, emphasising the importance of the attachment bond between couples, and how nurturing of the attachment bonds and an empathetic understanding of each others emotions can break the cycles. Check these Doncaster Emotionally Focused Therapy professionals for individual or Emotionally Focused couples therapy in Doncaster
