I work with adults who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, often during periods of stress, transition, or change. They may be experiencing anxiety, trauma, low mood, or relationship difficulties, and are seeking therapy because existing ways of coping no longer feel effective. Many want to understand themselves more deeply, feel steadier emotionally, and move forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and connection.

You may be feeling overwhelmed by trauma, anxiety, or depression, and finding it hard to fully engage in life. Unprocessed experiences can stay stuck in the nervous system, keeping you on edge or disconnected. I offer a safe, empathetic space where you are truly heard. Using evidence-based trauma therapy, including EMDR, I help you process the past, reduce distress, and create lasting change—so you can regain control, resilience, and live more fully, not just cope.

Specialties: Anxiety, Smoking Cessation, Weight Loss, and Insomnia.
If you feel like you logically understand your problems but still can't seem to change your automatic reactions, you aren't alone. Traditional talk therapy often focuses solely on the conscious mind, while pure hypnotherapy may lack practical day-to-day strategies. My approach bridges this gap by integrating Clinical Hypnotherapy with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This dual-level methodology addresses both the conscious thoughts and the deep-seated subconscious patterns that drive behaviours like anxiety, insomnia, and addiction.

I help individuals who are navigating relationship difficulties, difficulties with self-confidence, and repeating patterns that feel challenging to shift. Therapy with me is a space to explore the complexity with curiosity and compassion, so you can make sense of what’s emerging, what’s not working, and move toward changes that feel more meaningful, relationships that feel more connected, and a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are or want to be. Often, patterns live not just in the mind, but also in the body, which is why I integrate somatic, attachment and parts-work approaches to therapy.

I also see people struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, burnout, perfectionism, and adjusting to change.
I take a relational approach to therapy, focusing on how your early relationships and experiences might have shaped your patterns over time. I draw on CBT, ACT, and DBT to support change. Outside of private practice, I work in an acute hospital setting, which informs my work with people adjusting to serious illness and injury.

Whether it's a messy divorce, the death of a loved one, a traumatic experience, an existential crisis about the meaning of life, or a difficult decision that has to be made - it can be hard to figure out what to do or who to turn to for guidance.
I am a fully-qualified counsellor and psychotherapist and specialise in a humanistic approach to counselling (i.e., I will see you as an individual being with individual needs and not try to pigeon hole you into a diagnostic category or make assumptions about you without fully understanding your story).

Grief Therapists
How long does therapy take for grief?
There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?
Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?
Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?
Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
