Women's Issues Psychologists and Therapists in Carlton, VIC
Hi! My name is Ray and I support clients that feel overwhelmed, stuck and disconnected from themselves who need a space to slow down, make sense of their emotions, and find steadier ground.
Many people seek counselling when they’re navigating the effects of trauma, chronic stress, or complex relationships. I offer support that feels calm, respectful, and genuinely collaborative.
With a trauma‑informed, humanistic, and strengths‑based approach I aim to help clients understand what’s happening inside them, develop practical coping strategies and reconnect with their values and direction.
My work hour is from 5pm to 8 pm, Mon-Fri

I believe in creating a safe, non-judgemental space where healing and growth can occur by working from a place of collaboration, curiosity, and compassion. Together, we work to build insight and explore patterns that may be contributing to difficulties in your life by looking beyond symptoms to understand how past experiences shape current thoughts, feelings, and relationships.
I integrate a trauma-informed practice and draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and EMDR, with emphasis on the therapeutic relationship.

Starting therapy can be a big step, especially if you’re not sure what to expect. I’m a clinical psychologist who works with adults to understand what’s going on and find meaningful ways forward. My approach is collaborative and respectful—I’ll work with you to make sense of your experiences and identify changes that are manageable. I aim to create an environment where you can speak openly, feel understood, and gradually build the skills you need to navigate your challenges with more confidence.

Do you feel constantly overwhelmed, behind on things, or like you’re working twice as hard just to keep up? I provide neuro-affirming counselling for adults with ADHD, with a particular interest in supporting women and LGBTIQA+ clients, including those diagnosed later in life. Many people I work with have spent years masking, people-pleasing, or pushing themselves to meet expectations, which can lead to burnout, anxiety, and self-doubt. Therapy can help you better understand how your brain works, reconnect with your strengths, and develop practical ways to manage focus, emotional regulation, and everyday life.

The people who work with me are often independent thinkers, they're bright and creative. They might also feel isolated, stuck, that there's something missing, or that they haven't yet been heard in a way that allows them to feel a bit freer to really enjoy their lives. Many would say that they feel like outsiders. The people I work with have often had seriously difficult histories. Sometimes they support someone else who suffers. I value working with others of all ages from my LGBTQ+ and GBKS (diversity in gender, body, kinship & sexuality) communities.

I value working with the whole individual and their many complex facets. I have particular interest in working with people who may feel like outsiders in some way, and I value providing a judgement-free space that feels safe for you to speak as freely as possible.
