I work as a clinical psychologist and practice upon a foundation of empathy and authenticity. To embrace vulnerability is terrifying, so I prioritise creating a supportive safe space with my clients to move towards recovery goals. I am passionate about shifting the ‘hush-hush’ discourse around vulnerabilities with mental health, and empowering individuals to embrace the human nature to experience difficulties.

People come to therapy for a range of reasons. There might be recurrent problems in relationships or work, there might be disturbing feelings within, or behaviours that are defeating or destructive. Many people find that their usual ways of coping don’t seem to work for them anymore. Whatever the issue, undertaking psychotherapy is an opportunity for you to really understand the underlying drivers of the problem, in the context of your unique life history, and to find a way to transform your suffering. New possibilities for living with greater freedom and creativity might then appear.

Feeling anxious, stuck, or disconnected? I work with LGBTQ+ adults, specialising in gay men and queer women who are navigating anxiety, identity questions, relationships, burnout, grief, or major life transitions. You feel exhausted from pretending, people-pleasing, or carrying things alone for too long. You want a therapist who understands your queer life without having to explain it. Someone affirming, grounded, and emotionally attuned. Therapy can be a space where you feel safe to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and reconnect with yourself.
You can book a free 15-minute intro call, to see if we’re the right fit.

My ideal client is an adult or older adolescent who brings long‑running relationship patterns, the lingering impact of childhood trauma, or chronic low mood and wants deeper, lasting change; they’re tired of repeating the same outcomes and ready to understand the origins of their reactions rather than just manage symptoms. They need a safe, non‑judgemental space, a clear formulation that links past experiences to present problems, and practical skills they can use between sessions. Their goals are to reduce shame and reactivity, build secure, reciprocal relationships, stabilise mood and daily routines, and develop boundaries.

You promised you would not watch online porn or live sex cams again. You feel guilt and shame because you want to stop but cant. You visited a sex worker recently and now you are worried you might have put the health of your family at risk. You plan to spend a short time on dating apps and find yourself spending hours on them, unable to put them down, feeling desperate and hopeless. You have an instant attraction when you meet a particular type of person, believing they are the one. You might be in recovery for alcohol / drug addiction, but your compulsive sexual acting out behaviours have increased and you feel guilt and shame.

Every person is unique, and we each experience life’s challenges in our own way. While similar situations may touch our lives, our responses to them are deeply personal and complex. I believe that therapy should reflect this individuality—there is no one-size-fits-all solution. My approach is tailored to meet you where you are, recognizing that what works for one person may not work for another, even if they’ve faced the same circumstances. Together, we’ll explore your needs, strengths, and goals to find the path that feels right for you.

The Purpose of Therapy.... It may be a holding pattern that will not shift; low mood; feeling fearful or worried; feeling angry; past memories that continue to come back; confusing feelings/responses; disconnection from self/others. In therapy, I aim to help you identify, and process, the factors (memories, beliefs, body responses) underpinning the experiences that you hope to shift. Utilising experiential techniques (emotions, body sensations, memory networks, cognitions, behavioural holding patterns) which provide a deeper level understanding, processing, and lasting change. This is an open, honest, and inclusive space.
