My passion is to support those with differences and neurodivergent experiences, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, auditory processing disorder, organisational skills challenges, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder.
Three master’s degrees in psychotherapy, counselling, and special education; a clinical registrant and accredited supervisor with PACFA, AAPi, and ACA. I am currently completing a Master’s in Therapeutic Arts Practice. I provide a supportive space where clients feel heard, valued, and respected. Through active listening, empathy, and non-judgmental reflection, I help clients explore their stories, identify goals, and develop strategies for daily life. While I do not give advice, I engage actively in conversations, ensuring therapy remains collaborative and meaningful. Talk therapy fosters growth, clarity, and self-awareness.

Ryan Morgan is a registered psychologist with post graduate training in non-medication based approaches for addressing conditions for such as sleep disorders, ADHD, stress and burnout, depression, anxiety and peak performance for students, athletes and professionals.
My focus is to use a broader assessment framework that seeks to look at the brain more directly with the view to better understanding the personal drivers of the clients struggles. This along with other clinical assessments helps me to personalise the treatment plan to the client and avoid a one size fits all treatment approach.

I also provide psychotherapy and coaching for the management of ADHD in adults.
My work is extremely collaborative. I typically discuss the approach I am using with my clients and invite them to explore with me how psychology may be able to assist them to reach a goal or solve a problem, working only with those symptoms my clients identify as causing distress and/or preventing them from leading a rich and meaningful life.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioural therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
