Life can sometimes feel like a storm, where past wounds—whether from family struggles, trauma, or the weight of unspoken pain—cast shadows over our days. I’ve walked alongside many who’ve felt this. My name is Fangjie, and my journey as a healer began with a deep belief: every story deserves to be heard, and every heart can find its way to peace. I am based in Melbourne Victoria and offer telehealth sessions Australian wide.

You've been holding it together carefully. Work, relationships, responsibilities, all accounted for. But something has gone quiet inside. Not dramatically. Just gradually. You've become so serious about life that you've stopped feeling alive in it, and you can't remember when that happened.
You don't need a crisis to come to therapy. You need to feel like yourself again.
I'm Mae, a Thai psychotherapist based in Thornbury, Melbourne. I work with adults who are thoughtful, high-functioning, and quietly running on empty.

Grace’s approach weaves together EMDR, Narrative Therapy, ACT, and mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy, creating space to explore how emotions, stress, trauma, and cultural histories are held in the body.
Grace is a counsellor and psychotherapist who supports mixed-culture adults, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community as they navigate identity, belonging, and life transitions in a cross-cultural world.
You might be carrying the weight of family expectations while longing to live in a way that feels true to you, or raising young families while managing relationships shaped by different cultural upbringings. Over time, this tension can show up as anxiety, guilt, confusion, or a sense of never being “enough”, along with feelings of loneliness and uncertainty about where you truly belong as you work to find your own path.

Most of us experience difficulties in life at some time and these times present opportunities for enquiry and greater self-awareness which can empower us to make conscious choices and take considered action. Ideally our experiences are to be learnt from so that we don’t repeat old patterns of thinking, behaving and reacting and that our new approach to life becomes more thoughtful.

Navigating the world as a neurodivergent person can be incredibly challenging, especially without adequate support. If you're autistic, have ADHD, are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, or are a trauma survivor, you know the unique hurdles that come with higher rates of trauma and PTSD. Life can feel overwhelming when you're managing sensory differences, executive functioning struggles, and the exhausting work of masking.

I'm a Gestalt psychotherapist and Somatic Experiencing practitioner with over a decade of experience, I also offer psychedelic integration therapy.
My clients are people who sense that something needs to shift — but talking about it hasn't been enough. They've often tried conventional therapy and found it useful to a point, but they're ready to go deeper. They want to understand not just their story, but what's happening in their body, their nervous system, the patterns that keep repeating no matter how much insight they have.
They come with trauma, grief, anxiety, life transitions, or a deep unease without a clear name. Some are navigating plant medicine experiences and need skilled, non-judgmental support. Others are at a threshold, ready for real change.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.
Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.
Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.
What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
