Psychologist, MSc, PsyBA General

I'm truly interested in what my clients have to say. I am a warm, compassionate, non-judgmental, person-centered psychologist. I have practiced since 2011 - working with individuals, couples, families and groups. Using a EMDR, a trauma-informed approach, I walk beside clients on their healing journey. I use many creative Arts therapy, movement and bodywork techniques to process and expel trauma stored in the body. This keeps therapy gentle and non-threatening, whilst deepening the process at the same time. I empower and equip my clients to navigate the uncertainties of life and achieve the goals they set for themselves.

My practice is mainly psychodynamic, drawing on EMDR, CBT, ACT, ERP & other modalities as needed.
I work with adults & couples dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD & complex trauma, relationship difficulties, OCD and other emotional concerns. I approach therapy with a deep curiosity about you: how you see things like noone else. Depending on what brings you to therapy, we may explore how pivotal moments in life have shaped you, your beliefs, and your relationships, or we may look at practical ways you could bring about the changes you hope for. My aim is to provide a supportive space that helps you understand things more clearly, accept yourself more fully, and feel more capable of meeting life’s challenges.

My work is grounded in integrative, psychodynamic psychotherapy and advanced training in the Conversational Model, supporting a depth-oriented approach where difficult experiences can be approached safely, understood deeply, and gradually transformed.
Life can feel overwhelming, confusing, or like you're surviving rather than living. You may feel caught in patterns of stress, despair, self-doubt, relationship struggles, overwhelming emotions, or the effects of trauma. Perhaps you've always felt different, struggled to understand yourself, or tried therapy before without finding the change you hoped for. I offer psychotherapy for adults seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. Together, we'll make sense of your current struggles and the experiences and patterns that have shaped them, within a warm and collaborative therapeutic relationship where lasting change can emerge.

Counsellor, MA, ACA-L4
South Yarra, VIC 3141
Are you wondering whether your relationship can change, or why your past relationships haven't worked? I can help. I work with men, women, and couples who are ready for things to change. About half my clients come alone, they're tired of repeating the same patterns in how they connect, fight, or shut down. The other half are couples carrying years of conflict, distance, or pain. Affairs, power struggles, mismatched desire - these are hard, but they're not hopeless. I offer a clear, structured approach to help you understand what's really going on and actually create meaningful change.

Psychodynamic Therapists
Is psychodynamic therapy evidence-based?
Studies have found psychodynamic therapy to be effective in treating conditions like social anxiety, eating disorders, chronic pain, some personality disorders, and depression; indeed, some studies have found it to be just as effective as CBT or medication. What’s more, several studies have found that the benefits of psychodynamic therapy tend to endure—even grow—long after treatment has ended.

How long does psychodynamic therapy last?
Unlike CBT and other more structured forms of therapy, psychodynamic therapy tends to be open-ended and may not be limited to a set number of sessions. It is common for clients to be in therapy for a year or longer and to see their therapist one to three times a week, though the exact schedule and timeline may vary depending on a client’s challenges and progress. However, brief psychodynamic therapy is available, which tends to be more goal-oriented and typically unfolds over 16 to 30 sessions.

Does psychodynamic therapy work?
Research finds that psychodynamic therapy can help someone manage or reduce symptoms of diagnosable mental health conditions like depression or anxiety. The modality may also offer a range of benefits that are harder to measure but just as valuable—such as increased self-worth or healthier relationships. While no therapy type will work for everyone, research and anecdotal evidence suggest that psychodynamic therapy can be highly effective.

What are the limitations of psychodynamic therapy?
Some meta-analyses have concluded that there is little evidence to suggest that psychodynamic therapy can effectively treat certain mental health conditions such as PTSD, OCD, or psychosis, though it is sometimes used to do so. More broadly, the open-ended, free-association structure of psychodynamic therapy may be frustrating for clients who prefer a more structured, time-limited, or goal-oriented approach.
