Over the years, I've had the privilege of helping adults, teens, children and families.
Making a positive difference in people’s lives is my purpose. We all face challenges, and at times, we need support to navigate our emotions and experiences. No matter what you're going through, you're not alone. While we can't change the past, with the right support, your future can be different.

“Walking alongside you toward resilience and hope.” Life can feel overwhelming at times. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, past trauma, grief, or relationship challenges. Perhaps you’re feeling stuck in old patterns, weighed down by cultural expectations, or uncertain about your next steps. What you want most is a safe, understanding space where you can explore your feelings without judgment, make sense of your experiences, and begin to move forward with greater clarity and strength. You want to feel lighter, more connected, and able to live in line with what truly matters to you.

We may be functional and live through life stage transitions. Sometimes we struggle with emotional or psychological residues of underlying past trauma, anxiety or depression. We all seek a safe and empathetic space to explore emotions and experiences, aiming to achieve mental well-being and emotional resilience. We want to manage overall impact of stress, anxiety, depression or trauma and seek inner peace, improve relationships, and build a fulfilling life. We often wish to overcome individual challenges so that we develop capacity for growth and positive change. Everyone deserves a chance to heal, be happy, and find inner peace.

While youth mental health is where I've spent many professional years, my true special interest is neurodiversity—ASD, AuDHD and ADHD.
My gift and desire to help others use creative expression is what has me leaping out of bed each day. I want to help others use creative expression to explore what's going on for them, helping them delve into their inner worlds. I grew up in an intensely creative and neurodiverse family, highly attuned to the beauty of nature, music, art and words. I've always loved the opportunities these forms of expression provide to express myself, and to feel deeply—beyond words.

Whether you're navigating burnout, the impact of physical health challenges, or just going through a difficult time, you don’t have to push through or struggle alone. I have experienced burnout first hand, and I understand how overwhelming it can be when it starts affecting your health and your ability to do daily tasks. This has made me passionate about sharing with people how psychology can help us to recover and heal on a mind and body level. You're not weak, crazy, or not trying hard enough... you've just not been shown any other way to do things.

I also support adolescents (12+) through to older adults.
I offer a calm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you can talk openly about what’s been weighing on you. Some people come to counselling looking for practical strategies and guidance, while others simply need a space to finally exhale, feel heard, and not have to hold everything together for a while.

I'm a Relational Gestalt Psychotherapist. I provide a warm, open, non-judgemental space for exploring my client's experiences, creating a safe space and building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship. I draw on trauma-informed practice and anti-oppressive practice, and somatic practice theories. I value exploration of what emerges in the here-and-now experience. I believe human health and growth happens in relationship, with support, and when we grow in awareness and are able to better integrate our experiences. I offer both short-term counselling and longer-term psychotherapy.

FAQ - Teenage and Adolescent Therapists
What does therapy for teenagers look like?
When a therapist works with a teenager, the pair will talk about what the teen is struggling with and explore solutions, which may involve interpersonal skills, coping strategies, medication, or lifestyle changes related to sleep, diet, and exercise. Different therapists employ different modalities, but most involve a combination of conversation and skill building.

How long does therapy for teenagers generally take to work?
There’s variability in teenagers’ experiences and challenges; some may begin to improve from therapy within a few weeks while others may take several months or longer. Teens can discuss their progress with their therapist periodically to assess how they’re improving and any changes to the treatment plan that could potentially accelerate that progress.

How do you encourage a teenager to go to therapy?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love while framing therapy as an opportunity to explore a tool that could help improve their life; just like they practice baseball or dance, now they can practice their emotional skills. Give your teen control over the process where you can—maybe by weighing in on choice of therapist and signaling that therapy involves confidentiality, so a parent need not know all that is discussed in sessions.

How do you prepare teens for therapy?
You can prepare your teenager for therapy by describing what the process will look like and setting expectations for timeline, if requested. You can explain that the first session may begin with an assessment phase, that they can describe their experiences but that the therapist will ask questions too, and that it may take time to feel comfortable opening up. Ask how they’re feeling about the process and answer any questions calmly and supportively.
