My approach to therapy recognises that culture, identity, family, migration and social expectations can profoundly shape our psychological experiences. I see these factors as an integral part of therapeutic work, rather than simply background to a client’s story.
I am particularly passionate about supporting women from culturally and linguistically diverse, Muslim and South Asian communities, including those navigating the complexities of living between cultural worlds, intergenerational expectations and evolving identities. My work acknowledges how gender, culture, family roles, faith, and belonging can influence mental health.

I use evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy ( ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Schema Therapy, trauma-informed practice, strengths-based approaches, and play-based interventions for children.
One of the greatest privileges of being a psychologist is having the opportunity to walk alongside people during some of the most challenging periods of their lives. I have witnessed remarkable resilience, courage, and growth in people who initially believed change was impossible.
I do not believe that people are defined by their diagnosis, their mistakes, their trauma, or their circumstances. Instead, I believe that every person possesses unique individual strengths and potential that can be nurtured when provided with the right support and opportunities. Everyone deserves the gift of HOPE.

My approach is evidence-based (DBT, ACT, MI, CFT) mixed with culturally-sensitive, intersectional, neuro-affirming and depathologising care.
People come to counselling for so many reasons. They may be navigating traumatic or painful memories/experiences, difficult feelings, complexities around identity, or their relationship with drugs &/or alcohol. Maybe they feel the strain of dealing with systems or a world that seems to be falling apart. Whatever you're holding, I'm here to hold them with you in a space that carries all parts of you & your story. I walk with people who may be navigating substance use concerns, complex life circumstances, & traumatic experiences. I welcome folks who identify as LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, disabled, &/or from third-culture backgrounds.

I work with adults who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, health-related challenges, relationship difficulties or uncertainty, or who have questions relating to intimacy and sexual health.
Many people I see are wanting to make sense of what has been happening and find a way of moving forward that feels right for them.

I am an authentic and bubbly French-Australian human who made the decision to become a counsellor after my own lived experiences of mental and physical health struggles. Born in rural France, where none ever talked about mental health, I began my adult life as a high-achieving corporate professional who believed the only approach to life’s problems was to “get on with it” and just find a way to keep going. Until I realised this didn’t actually work effectively or wholeheartedly and discovered that mental health is a real, normal, valid part of being a human. I now walk the talk and value my physical, mental, emotional health.

Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) Therapists
How does acceptance and commitment therapy work?
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy encourages a person to listen to their self-talk. A person’s inner dialog can be indicative of how they treat themselves. ACT also encourages self-compassion; this can lead to a better understanding of negative thought patterns and emotional states. This understanding can then lead the individual to needed behavior change.
What are the goals of acceptance and commitment therapy?
The goal of acceptance and commitment is to expand a person’s psychological flexibility, a trait that encourages an individual to live in the present moment and to accept all their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, even ones that are difficult such as sadness and anxiety. In ACT, this acceptance is congruent with the individual’s values and beliefs.
Does acceptance and commitment therapy work for depression?
Acceptance and commitment therapy is effective for depression because it allows the individual to view their discomfort and suffering differently. Depressive feelings about relationship heartaches, for example, are a part of life. A despondent person learns to let go of their struggles and instead view their painful thoughts and feelings with compassion. This will lead the individual toward positive change.
How long are people typically in acceptance and commitment therapy?
A typical acceptance and commitment therapy session is 50 minutes long with one session per week. Treatment for common problems such as anxiety, depression, or relationship difficulties can last between eight weeks to four months. However, more severe cases may require more than one session a week and/or a longer time frame for treatment.
