Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion Focused Therapy for Couples (Externship), Somatic Psychotherapy, Working with Complex Trauma, Emotion Focused Therapy (Level 1 & 2).
Many people come to therapy after reaching a point where the ways they’ve been coping no longer feel sustainable. You might find yourself feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in the same relationship patterns, or struggling to understand why certain experiences continue to affect you so deeply - even when part of you feels like you “should” have moved on by now. For some, therapy becomes a space to finally slow down and pay attention to things they’ve spent years pushing aside, minimising, or trying to manage on their own.

I specialise in trauma therapy, including EMDR and somatic approaches.
You might be someone who holds a lot inside. On the outside, life continues with work, relationships, responsibilities, while you may feel internally overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or tired in a way that rest doesn’t seem to fix. I am experienced working with people who have past experiences that still live in the body, patterns that repeat in relationships, or a sense of not fully belonging. I’m especially passionate about supporting people from a migrant background. I deeply understand the challenges from cultural expectations, unspoken family dynamics, or emotional experiences that do not fit into the mainstream culture.

I offer Somatic Psychotherapy and Somatic Experiencing, approaches that work with the nervous system to resolve the lasting effects of trauma and stress.
You may be carrying the weight of unresolved trauma, ongoing stress, or stubborn health issues that never seem to shift no matter what you try. These patterns often replay in your personal and professional relationships, creating cycles of tension, frustration, and disconnection. You might feel held back from expressing your true self or from stepping fully into your potential. Deep down, you long for freedom, vitality, and the courage to create a life that feels authentic and aligned, yet something unseen continues to stand in the way, leaving you unsure where to begin.

I use Family Constellations, Somatic wholeness and brain spotting to work with your body awareness to get to the core of the trauma and issues that are stuck in the nervous system and the soma (body).
You’ve tried everything- talk therapy, self-help, even deep inner work-but something is still holding you back. Trauma, repeating relationship dynamics or behaviours can keep us stuck in patterns that feel impossible to break. I help clients who are ready for a different approach-one that gets to the root of the issue. By working somatically and systemically we uncover hidden dynamics that may be keeping you trapped. Together, we’ll create a path to release old patterns, and integrate practical tools for lasting change so you can finally move forward with clarity, freedom, and ease. Your past doesn't need to govern your future.

Somatic Therapists
How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
