I’m an Educational and Developmental Psychologist and the Director of Mindverse Psychology with over a decade of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan. Many of the families I work with come to therapy seeking clarity, connection, and support. You might be a parent trying to better understand your child’s behaviour, or a young person feeling overwhelmed by school, friendships, or emotions that are hard to explain. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, social challenges, or developmental concerns, it’s not always easy to know what’s going on—or how to help. You’re not alone, and reaching out is a powerful first step.

Undertaking therapy is a very personal and meaningful journey—whether you're looking to heal trauma, face relationship struggles, or simply wanting to understand yourself more deeply. The growth that can come from this inner work often not only nurtures your own wellbeing but positively impacts those around you. It’s a genuine honour to walk alongside my clients as they navigate challenges, build more self understanding and unlock deeper inner resilience. My work aims to support gentle reconnection—with self and others—especially where early attachment experiences have shaped current ways of relating.

A wish to get better, and a willingness to look inside oneself. These are the only essentials for success in therapy. I enjoy helping people with OCD and rumination to regain a sense of agency over their mind, people with depression to understand what is happening inside themselves that is causing their suffering and free themselves from it, people with PTSD to feel safe again and gain self-compassion and heal their nervous system, people with difficulty in relationships to understand what is happening and operate more smoothly, and helping people with many other difficulties to heal and move forward.

I support clients to notice patterns that often develop in response to earlier experiences and how these patterns can show up as stress, emotional shutdown, anger, anxiety, or feeling stuck.
I offer a supportive space where you can show up as you are. I work with anyone, but especially with men, adolescents, and young adults who may find it hard to talk openly about emotions, stress, or past experiences. I work at a pace that feels right for you, with a strong focus on safety, trust, and choice. If you’ve gained insight into your struggles but still feel stuck, or feel disconnected from your body, emotions, or relationships, I offer an embodied and relational way forward. My work is grounded in Gestalt therapy and focuses on what’s happening in the here and now — in your thoughts, feelings, body, and relationships.

My interest lies in helping individuals living with trauma, anxiety-related disorders, interpersonal difficulties and emotional regulation issues. I have a particular passion for working with C-PTSD and sexual trauma. I am dedicated to helping clients improve their relationship with themselves (and by extension others) through developing a self-compassionate understanding of their emotional difficulties. From this place we move forward together to process "stuck" memories and explore the development of new ways of being in the world.

I support men—individually or with their partners—through challenges like anger, communication, and major life changes.
Life throws curveballs—parenting, work stress, relationships—you name it. It’s easy to start wondering, am I even getting this right? You’re definitely not alone. As a dad of two, I get how messy and full-on life can feel. That’s why I offer therapy that’s real, down-to-earth, and works around your schedule with after-hours appointments available. Please note that counselling is a self-funded service, as counsellors are not included under the Medicare Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and do not offer Medicare rebates in Australia.

Anger Management Therapists
How long does therapy take for anger management?
Treatment duration depends on the person’s specific challenges and circumstances. There are treatments for anger problems that are shorter and more goal-oriented, like Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), which can last weeks to months. Others, like Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) may last between six months and a year, while a more intensive treatment, like psychodynamic therapy, is open-ended, and clients may see their therapist for a year or longer.

How do you know if you need therapy for anger management?
Everyone gets mad from time to time. But when angry outbursts become frequent and cause damage to relationships, whether at home or in the office, it may be a good time to look into therapy. A therapist can assess where a client’s anger may be coming from, suggest strategies for averting angry outbursts, and help a client create a plan to become a calmer version of themselves.

Is there medication for anger management?
Medications do exist that help people mitigate the feeling of anger, but these are reserved for people with anger-related psychiatric disorders, such as intermittent explosive disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, or in some cases borderline personality disorder. In these cases, antidepressant medications may be prescribed to help with the client’s symptoms. In most cases of anger management, however, talk therapy is the recommended treatment, along with lifestyle changes where relevant.

What’s the best way to encourage someone to seek help for anger issues?
It’s helpful to express your concern and love for the person while framing therapy as a tool for improving their life. Offering specific examples of how an individual’s behavior affected either themselves or others should be done with compassion and with empathy. It may be useful to devise a game plan—breaking the process down into parts, such as finding a therapist, making appointments, and looking into insurance coverage.
