Drawing from evidence-based methods like CBT, ACT, and mindfulness, I focus on what works for your child—not just in sessions, but in everyday life.
Many of my clients are children and teens who are navigating anxiety, ADHD, autism, or challenges at school. Parents often come to me seeking answers, support, and a plan to help their child feel more regulated, understood, and connected. These families want someone who truly “gets it”—who can balance professional skill with warmth and care.

Life can be so tough, at times: Perhaps you don’t feel good about 'you', you struggle with life feeling relentlessly stressful, expensive, and anxiety-provoking, your relationship is in trouble, work is overwhelming and unsatisfying, your friendships feel insecure, you grieve for the decline or death of a close other (or beloved pet), you are diagnosed with a fear-evoking illness, your mental health is out of kilter and you don't know how to get back on track, or you may be feeling a 'deep down' loss of meaning and purpose in an increasingly unstable, uncertain world. Or something else; we all have a story. Therapy can really help.

The mind and body are inseparable systems. When one heals, the other follows.
The mind and body are inseparable systems, constantly influencing how we think, feel, and act. When stress or uncertainty take hold, neural pathways narrow, and clarity fades.
Through neuroscience-informed counselling and integrative coaching, I help you restore balance to your nervous system and strengthen the neural connections that support calm, confidence, and emotional intelligence. This is not simply about coping; it’s about rewiring the brain for long-term resilience.

Life is messy and imperfect. Sexuality and identity is a lifelong journey. So many of us are limited in our exploration due to shame, stigma, or lack of sexuality education. I believe in a sex-positive approach which acknowledges and celebrates the diversity of human sexuality, identity and expression. When we are informed, empowered and validated, we live happier and more authentic lives.

I have more than 20 years of professional mental health experience working with diverse individuals and communities, I'm also a AUSPATH provider, NLP practitioner, mindfulness facilitator, parent educator and perinatal counsellor, with COPE & PANDA mental health training.
Hello, I work with individuals, couples and families from pregnancy throughout the lifespan, including those struggling with loss, grief or trauma which may have shaped their sense of self or attachment. Many wish to explore the impact of neurotype and gender or other kinds of diversity on their identity. Some are interested in the ways their bodies could be saying 'no' to certain situations or experiences, and how any disconnection may be showing up in terms of relationships or mental health. Together we develop practical approaches for navigating these often intersectional factors by focusing on strengths rather than deficits.

Mindfulness-Based (MBCT) Counsellors
How does mindfulness-based cognitive therapy work?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy originated in the work of John Kabat-Zinn of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He developed mindfulness-based stress reduction, which is a technique found in yoga and meditation. MBCT is a combination of this type of stress reduction and cognitive behavioral therapy; it essentially quiets emotional distress through mindfulness, utilizing proper breathing and meditation. These techniques aim to bring the individual into the present moment when in a state of distress.
When do I know if I need treatment with mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
If an individual’s mind is filled with emotional distress and general negativity, the person may feel trapped. A mindfulness-based cognitive therapist can help a person change their thinking patterns as well as their behaviour through calm acceptance and compassion. This therapy can provide an individual with the coping skills needed for a healthier and more constructive life.
What should I expect from mindfulness-based cognitive therapy?
This therapy often takes place in group sessions. A therapist will work with the group as well as with each individual. Meditation and breathing exercises are core practices that aim to invite inquiry and discovery into a person’s troubled mental state. The objective is to identify and lessen negative thoughts and behaviours and move toward optimal health and productivity. The individual will see life in a more realistic way. This therapy is supportive, accepting, and warm.
Is mindfulness-based cognitive therapy effective?
Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy is evidence-based and effective. One study found that people with major depressive disorder have benefitted from this type of therapy; the person accepts their distressed thoughts and also moves into healthier patterns of thinking. This therapy also aims to move an individual away from automatic negative responses. This type of therapy can bring a person lifelong change, with higher levels of satisfaction, less stress, as well as positive emotional and behavioural habits.
