Belinda Maher is a neurodiverse child and family mental health social worker, specialising in supporting neurodivergent young people and their families/carers. Passionate about working from a trauma-informed and neuroaffirming lens, Belinda’s therapeutic framework is informed by her extensive experiences as an educator, a trauma therapist and as a senior clinician in a neuropsychiatry unit at a children’s hospital. She has also worked for the Victorian Department of Education as a Mental Health Practitioner in an SDS (Special Developmental School).
Belinda has undertaking exstensive additional training across a range of modalities to ensure her therapeutic approaches are evidence-based, best-fit, neuroaffirming and child-and-family centred. Belinda currently offers outreach (in-home) services for young people and families in the Southern Melbourne and Bayside/Peninsula and via teleheatlh.
