Hi, I'm glad you're here! My name is Maggie Whitbread, otherwise known as the Awefull Therapist (not "awful"!) My clients often struggle with uncertainty, anxiety, depression, being ‘stuck’ or lost, experiencing loneliness, low self-esteem, identity issues, challenging decision-making, or navigating life transitions. My clients benefit from my patience, warmth, sense of humor, and my open-minded and modern approach to therapy. If you're ready to step into your vulnerability in order to heal and change your life for the better, Awefull Therapy might be the right fit for you.
I have extensive experience with managing stress, anxiety, and depression, helping clients navigate challenging life events and transitions (career changes, identity shifts, adapting to motherhood, relationship changes, marriage, etc.), and gaining a deeper understanding of themselves.
My approach appeals to those who are looking for a therapist that isn't rigid, formal and clinical, but also isn't too new-age and spiritual. Instead I find balance with my comforting, client-centred and approachable style. Your stories are valuable. You are capable of creating change. You still have time. And you don’t have to take these next steps alone.
