I am a Diploma qualified Counsellor from the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors. (AIPC). Also a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) I follow and abide by the Code of Ethics of the association. Having lived in three different countries, I have been exposed to various societies and customs, hence am comfortable dealing with different types of people and cultures. Life experiences play a big part in being able to have empathy and I will give my unconditional positive regard and attention to every individual as everyone’s story is unique and worth listening too.
I specialise in Youth Counselling. There are the obvious physical changes followed by transitioning from school to university or work settings, as you go a bit older. Those added with issues that may arise like; moving out of home, relationship issues, bullying and friendships, social and social media issues, may lead to stress and feeling of isolation.
Youths who have come to Australia to study or work and/or maybe from a family of first-generation migrants, finding it difficult to cope with the new lifestyle and culture, or feeling left out as you move into the real world would find counselling helpful too.
