Sue Jensen is an experienced and insightful counsellor having worked extensively across a range of settings. She is a registered member of PACFA and works with clients of all ages, including children, families and couples. Sue strives to create a safe space that enables clients to develop trust and a connection with her. She believes that everyone has their story and we can become stuck in negative cycles, suffer communication breakdowns and have distorted thinking patterns. By developing the skills to self-reflect and gain insight, Sue believes we can actively choose how we live our life.
Sue work's from a person-centred approach and use therapies that include cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, narrative therapy, Gottman couples therapy, solution focused brief therapy and attachment based family therapy. This is offered through the lense of a strengths based and solution focused theme.
Sue will be your agent of change by focussing on thoughts, behaviours and emotions from a meaning making perspective which she believes requires an eclectic range of evidence based modalities to meet the varied and individual needs of each client.
