Michael came to study psychology as a mature age student, completing his studies part time at Swinburne and Victoria University during the 80’s and 90’s. He believes that coaching, counselling or psychotherapy needs to be tailored to each individual. This has led him to develop skills in a number of different approaches over his twenty years in practice. Growing up in a Victorian country town in the middle of last century he experienced both the State and Catholic school systems before serving as an officer in the Royal Australian Navy during the Vietnam era.
He has worked in manufacturing, in sales, in retail as a business proprietor, in academe, in H R, in business administration, and has also spent many years on site as a construction worker. This wide experience, combined with his light hearted, and often direct manner, give him the ability to communicate with people of all ages and at all levels.
Although his practice sees equal numbers of men and women, his specialities are men, couples and communication. He is divorced with two grown up children.
