Violeta has been counselling clients in Australia and overseas for thirty seven years, providing individual and couples counselling to clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioural and relationship problems. Violeta is trained in Process-Experiential Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Couples Therapy (Integrated Psychodynamic, Systemic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Person Centred Therapy, Exposure Therapy and Internal Family System Therapy. These therapies may be helpful for anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, grief, anger, gambling, low self-esteem or life transitions.
Violeta’s clinical practice with couples combines element of Psychodynamic, Systemic, Cognitive Behavioural and Emotion Focus Therapy to help couples to gain understanding of their past family of origin experiences that influence their current relationships, process their emotions, develop authentic communication and compassion for each other.
Couples therapy will help you become more flexible and open, giving each partner a sense of control and a sense of belonging in the relationship. It will also help you find connections between your current behaviour and experiences from your childhood and family history.
