I am an Clinical Psychotherapist , Couples and Family therapist with over 30 years of experience in a number of setting that include, Clinical Mental Health, Post Separation, Family violence, and educational settings . I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Registered EMDR practitioner, Registered Sandplay and Expressive therapist and Certified level 2 IFS Therapist . Registered as a clinical member of the International and National licensed registering bodies for the Australian relationship counsellors & Family therapists. Completed training in Havening , polyvagal , Child Centred Play Therapy, ACT and DBT .
I have the ability to work both individually and relationally with clients of all ages, understanding that research shows that our connection to others is an important part of our recovery . My approach is professional, respectful and confidential with a strong emphasis on creating a safe and connected space.
Understanding that at times Traumatic events can affect attachments ,and that past experiences when we may felt rejected, rebuffed or unsafe affect our emotions and our outlook on life.
