Steps to Soar promotes self-understanding and improved mental health and well-being for children (7+), adolescents, adults and older adults. Specialising in complex assessment of co-occurring Specific Learning Disorder (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia), ADHD, ASD and Intellectual ability. Clients are assisted to relearn helpful ways to cope, explore factors impacting them/their relationships, ways to manage emotions and other issues, and to develop skills.
Integrative techniques including cognitive therapies and behavioural methods, motivational interviewing, creative CBT activities with children. Research-based knowledge is used to equip clients to approach what they value in life.
Adapting to and accommodating a client's needs, diversity, strengths and challenges is important at Steps to Soar.
