Nicola is an accomplished counsellor and EMDR therapist with over 15 years’ experience in mental health. With an extensive background in providing accessible psychological therapy and psychiatric triage and assessment services, Nicola brings a wealth of experience and deep understanding of mental health concerns. She is committed to providing client-centered care and works with individuals and couples. Nicola accepts GP (Medicare rebate available), private and NDIS referrals. She is also an approved counsellor with Victims Services (NSW), QPS SelfRefer, EAP (Telus Health) and Veterans Services (Bupa).
Based in Baringa (Caloundra West). Nicola has a special interest in supporting clients heal from trauma support, as well as perinatal mental health and couples counselling. Interventions include: EMDR therapy, psychoeducation; Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy; mindfulness skills; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); values based and positive psychology.
Nicola’s approach is calm, non-judgmental and down-to-earth. She offers a welcoming space to engage in counselling and is committed to supporting clients to feel at ease and to feel understood, thus supporting them to make sense of their issues.
