Hi. I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, with more than eight years’ experience in helping people who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, gender issues, identity expression, sexual preferences, and issues they face in relationship and social contexts. I have a lived experience with trans-identity realisation, and have worked to support diversity expression and acceptance of difference in its many forms within our society. My main concern is to provide a safe and caring space for the client where they feel valued and confident to share their concerns.
The practice is situated in the beautiful Adelaide Hills, a short drive from the Adelaide CBD. It is a peaceful setting where sessions may be held in the ‘Wellness Garden’, or indoors with informal comfort. I also offer the mindful 'forest bathing'. Be who you want to be, dress as you wish, and enjoy validation, privacy and confidentiality.
I am non-judgemental and I focus on building an empathic relationship. I see my role as a guide to walk with you toward a better future, where you are acknowledged and validated in your life-journey. GendaMemba
A group of young and old people with issues involving gender identity and expression who are accepting of others and non-judgemental, but willing to learn from others, and share their own experiences and life-learning. The group will be facilitated as far as exploring each week the major issues they face in their life due to their gender expression or identity. There is no time limit or duration for the group, but it will continue as long as there is interest. Participants may drop in or out as and when they wish.
