I am a Masters qualified Social Worker with over 23 years of clinical experience supporting individuals, couples and family across a wide range of mental health concerns, situational distress and psychosocial stresses. I specialise in working with trauma, complex trauma, PTSD including experiences of childhood abuse, childhood sexual trauma and neglect (and associated symptoms i.e. depression, shame, complicated grief and night terrors); relationship difficulties, IPV/ FDV, grief and los, guilt; as well as a range of mental health diagnosis, mood disorders and mal adaptive or problematic behaviours.
My practice is grounded in a variety of models, theories and frameworks for understanding clients i.e. trauma-informed care, polyvagal theory; and I am trained in a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including CBT, ACT, EFT, Narrative, Schema and IFS
I work from a strengths-based, client-centred, and solutions-focused framework, supporting clients to set meaningful goals, build on existing capacities, and develop practical strategies for change. I am committed to creating a safe, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered on their healing journey.
