I have over 15 years experience working with individuals affected by loss, grief and trauma following sudden life events. This has included adult and paediatric palliative care, fertility and IVF, and supporting individuals experiencing the loss of a missing person. I have extensive practical experience sitting with individuals during very difficult situations and understand the need to build a trusting relationship in session. I have been one of only a handful of counsellors to work in the missing persons sector and understand the trauma and loss experienced by families.
I work with a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, ambiguous loss and life limiting illness. My therapies are based on individual assessment and needs. I used a variety of approaches including CBT, Family Systems, Attachment and solution focused therapies.
I am passionate about building a safe and supportive relationship with clients to instil hope and achieve individual outcomes. I use a warm, transparent and collaborative approach to allow individuals gain a better understanding of their emotional challenges. I continue to seek ongoing professional development to provide the best possible care.
