Grief can be a misunderstood experience. It may be you have experienced the death of someone close to you. Or you or someone you care for are sitting in the confusion of a new health diagnosis. In some way, life as you knew it has changed and adjusting to that change may feel hard and lonely. Many grieving clients I meet arrive feeling isolated in their families and communities, or that their experience of grief is not normal feeling ‘I’m going crazy’. Grief is a natural and necessary human response to loss and my focus is to enable you to feel anchored in your grief and in the world again.
I am Dr Leigh Donovan. For over twenty years I have worked in the context of palliative and bereavement care across the lifespan. I lead with curiosity and compassion and bring with me the stories of hundreds of clients . Most important to me is building a trusted relationship where your grief can be can be shared, witnessed, held and honoured.
