My name is Sophie, a Sydney-based counsellor/psychotherapist living and working on Cammeraygal land. My pronouns are she/her. I work within a person-centred, trauma informed practice. In our work, we will explore and unpack what is happening for you with compassion and curiosity. Typically, when we have a better understanding of something, we feel more confident on how to move forward. Once we arrive here, this is the space where we can create meaningful and lasting change through learning new skills to manage our challenges. I feel incredibly privileged to be walking alongside individuals in their therapeutic journey.
I have worked across a wide range of issues, having worked in the EAP industry for many years. I have extensive expertise in domestic violence and narcissistic personality disorder. Alongside my specialties, I have experience in working with issues such as relationship issues, self-esteem. anxiety, grief and loss and, disability.
Sometimes the first step is the most difficult one. Reaching out for support can seem like an overwhelming and scary thing to do.
