Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional Psychologist can make things better. I am passionate about breaking down the barriers and stigmas of mental health and choosing to see a psychologist. I provide care that is scientifically evidenced based, friendly and caring, laid back and no nonsense. I appreciate the courage it takes for individuals to seek help and aim to establish a therapeutic relationship that is non-judgmental and supportive whilst enhancing a client’s independence.
Over 15 years' experience in mental health care. I have worked for 7 years at leading trauma-recovery hospital St. John of God Hospital, North Richmond, NSW. Providing assessment and treatment for individuals, couples and families presenting with a range of mental health disorders and difficulties using a broad spectrum of therapeutic approaches.
I have a special interest in working with adults in the areas of Depression & Anxiety; Adjustment and Stress, Grief & Loss and trauma: Posttraumatic Stress disorder (PTSD) and Complex Trauma. I have extensive experience working with Veterans, Defence Force personnel, Police Officers, emergency services personnel and their families.
