I work with adults & couples experiencing anxiety, trauma (PTSD & complex trauma), depression, relationship difficulties, intrusive thoughts and OCD. I approach therapy with a deep curiosity about how you see things in ways that noone else does. I provide a warm and reflective space for you to explore how early & pivotal moments in life have shaped you and your relationships. We may also look at practical ways you can bring about changes you hope for. My goal is to offer you a supportive space that helps you understand things more deeply, accept yourself more fully, and feel more capable of meeting life’s challenges.
As a therapist, I strive to be fully present with you and create a nurturing & collaborative space. My style & the feel of therapy will depend on your needs, but the way I work tends to resonate with those wanting to know themselves deeply & change how they face difficulties. My approach is mainly based on psychodynamic & EMDR work, drawing on CBT as needed.
I work with people from all walks. My own background (born in India, raised in Australia) has oriented me to how people navigate multiple worlds and identities. I invite exploration of race, gender, sexuality & culture as part of our work. I've taught & researched in psychology, and keep up with developments to ensure I stay evidence-based.
