As a migrant from Asia, I am fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, I have firsthand experience of uprooting from what is familiar and reestablishing in a new environment. I also bring into the therapy room an experience of major career change. I feel privileged to be able to help people make personal recovery from life-changing circumstances, in rebuilding hope, redefining self-identity, assuming / re-assuming responsibilities, and leading a meaningful life.
I have special interest and experience in treating bipolar, mood and anxiety disorders and trauma. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirmative clinician. Making therapy meaningful and practical for each client is important to me, hence I work hard to collaborate with clients in therapy. Schema Therapy, ACT and CBT are therapeutic approaches I primarily use.
Reaching out for help takes courage; I am here to provide that safe space to support you in your journey of change.
