About
I am a registered psychologist trained in clinical psychology. I am a client-centred and trauma-informed therapist who works from a stance of compassion and curiosity. A migrant from Asia, fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, I have firsthand experience of uprooting from what is familiar and reestablishing in a new environment. I also bring into the therapy room an experience of major career change. I feel privileged to be able to help people make personal recovery from life-changing circumstances, in rebuilding hope, redefining self-identity, assuming / re-assuming responsibilities, and leading a meaningful life.
I have particular interest in bipolar, mood and anxiety disorders and complex trauma. I am an LGBTQIA+ affirmative clinician. Making therapy meaningful and practical for each client is important to me, hence I work hard to collaborate with clients in therapy. Schema Therapy, ACT and CBT are therapeutic approaches I primarily use.
Reaching out for help takes courage; I am here to provide that safe space to support you in your journey of change. I think my clients appreciate that I provide an empowering and assuring presence in their journey of figuring out what is going on in their life and carving the path to a more meaningful and authentic future.
